Continuous cooking oil refinery plant is recommended for oils containing higher FFA content. It’s daily capacity is normally over 30 tons, ranging from 30 tons per day to 1500 tons per day. Comparing to batch and semi-continuous oil refinery, continuous cooking oil refinery plant minimizes the refinery cost and provides superior quality finished oil.

Type of continuous cooking oil refinery plant

Continuous oil refinery plant can be divided into two types: physical and chemical oil refining.

Physical refining is necessary for the removal of Free Fatty Acid, and also to use steam distillation method at high temperature and under high vacuum; it’s then followed by deodorization and before deodorization for removal of free fatty acid an extra Technical facility is also added. Unacceptable odor due to steam deodorization process is removed through steam distillation; plus the odoriferous compounds are stripped off with the help of live injected steam into heated oil under high vacuum.Chemical refining is most widely used method for refining all types of crude oils. Chemical method of refining is accepted when the Free Fatty Acids is high, it removes the Free Fatty Acids and other impurities in a chemical way by Acid-Base neutralization process. Caustic soda is used as a base for this method. The addition of Caustic Soda to the acid completes the neutralization. This results in the formation of soapstock and gums which are then separated by Separators & Centrifuges. The neutralized oil is subsequently bleached and deodorized.

Each process of the cooking oil refinery plant has its special and important functions, most of the cooking oil refining process is the same, but some may have a little difference.
